Care Plus Icaridin Insect Repellent Baby & Kids Pump Spray

Care Plus™ has been a market leader in insect repellents in Europe for over 25 years. This respected brand is now available in Canada. Icaridin, also known as Picaridin, is the active ingredient in Care Plus™. It is a synthetic replica of the natural compound piperine, found in pepper plants. Developed by Bayer in the 1980s and used very successful in Europe, Icaridin first entered the U.S. market in 2005. It has been licensed in Canada since 2012.

Icaridin is highly effective in repelling biting insects - up to 12 hours for mosquitos and ticks and up to 10 hours for blackflies, while also being DEET-free, and gentle for the whole family. When used as directed, this pest control product repels ticks that may carry Lyme disease.

directions:

• directions for use: hold 15-20 cms from skin while spraying keeping nozzle pointed away from face; slightly moisten skin with a slow sweeping motion; apply sparingly, not under clothing and only when necessary; do not apply directly to face or to excessively sunburned skin
• to apply to face: spray hands and apply avoiding eyes and mouth; apply sparingly around ears
• supervise applications on children; do not apply to the hands of smaller children; do not use on infants under 6 months of age; avoid contact with eyes, mouth, cuts, wounds or irritated skin; flammable, do not store near heat sources, sparks or open flame; do not smoke while applying
