With Easter quickly approaching, and our home isolation continuing, it can be stressful to contemplate and a challenge to execute your regular Easter basket plans! 

In an effort to help alleviate some of this stress, we have created a curated collection of Easter basket recommendations with our Hoppy Easter! Collection.

We've also 'hopped to it' and assembled some visual Easter basket ideas for your tiny humans, based on age. Check them out below, and rest assured that everything we've suggested in the baskets is available for purchase online now at www.momease.ca while supplies last!

All online orders are currently available for pick up or delivery with some modifications to help ensure our staff and customers stay healthy & safe! We now offer contactless curbside pick up at the shop from Monday to Saturday from 10 AM-3 PM. Simply select Free Store Pick Up in your SHOPPING CART and any applicable shipping fees will be waived. We are also offering free local doorstep delivery on orders over $75 (pre-tax and within an approximate 10 min drive of the store on Hillside Ave). To select local doorstep delivery, follow the same procedure as above and enter Doorstep Delivery in the Notes. Be sure to include a contact number and delivery address in the notes section as well! Last but not least, we continue to offer free Canada Post shipping on most orders over $150.

Easter Basket Ideas - we HOPe you love!

Baby (Newborn to 1 YR)

For newborns and babies under one year, it's all about high-contrast toys (like the wondrous Baby Paper shown here!), teething items & drool, staying cozy with super-soft swaddles, and early learning opportunities. Consider reading through a classic board book each night as part of your bedtime routine. We offer a great selection of books to help build your early library! The season of sun is also nearly here, so a pair of Babiators sunglasses are a great way to protect your little one's eyes from harmful UV rays all season long! Toddlers (1-3 YRS)

For our busy toddlers, create some Easter fun with bubble bath and bath toys, bunnies, and building sets! Preschool (3-5 YRS)

For the older preschool age kiddos, make believe and imaginative play become paramount! They work well paired with the rubberized roadways from waytoplay, or just on their own for some fun vehicle make believe. Board books for early readers, full of vibrant pictures and easy-to-follow storylines, are also a wonderful idea for any occasion or time of year. We all know that reading to little ones is so important in helping them develop early literacy skills, but it's also a special opportunity for bonding and peaceful quiet time that can be shared with the whole family.

Big Kids (5 YRS+)

This current climate we find ourselves in has shrunk the globe in many ways, uniting us all against a common foe in ways we could never have anticipated or imagined. Age appropriate global studies and current-event discussions are happening in quarantined households all over the world, and our children are turning to us for guidance, reassurance and comfort. It can be hard to know what to say, but at least us parents are all in this together! When discussing this current COVID global health crisis, consider working together on a puzzle of the world, consulting a globe if you have one, or reviewing a map of the world online. Reading a special book together (we love "Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth" by Oliver Jeffers) can also be helpful and thought-provoking, working to open up the lines of communication with our bigger kids and aid discussions and question time.
