With a background in health, we recognize the crucial role nutrition plays in a child's development. As parents, we believe all children should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive, so when we saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger on millions of children around the world, it inspired us to help. On that day, we decided to start a company whose purpose is to help improve the lives of children and to make a difference. 
We created cuddle + kind because we wanted to make beautiful hand-knit dolls that help feed children. So for every cuddle+kind doll sold, we give 10 meals to children in need.
We wanted to create a sustainable stream of giving that wouldn’t rely on donations. Since September 2015, we’re thrilled that your purchases have helped provide over 13 million meals to children in need!
We're proud that our dolls are made with natural, high-quality cotton because it's important to us that they're safe, soft and cuddly. We're also super proud that every doll is lovingly handcrafted by incredible women artisans in Peru, providing them with a sustainable, fair trade income.

Every heirloom-quality baby animal is lovingly handcrafted from natural Peruvian cotton yarn, with carefully considered details. At just a little bigger than your hand, they’re the softest, most lovable companions we could imagine. You and your little one will love collecting them all!
Every cuddle + kind doll is handmade, stitch by stitch with passion and pride in Peru. They are lovingly hand-knit, hand-loomed, embroidered and crocheted by artisans using knitting expertise that has been handed down for generations. We're delighted everyday by the skill and artistry of our knitters.
A tremendous amount of love goes into each handcrafted cuddle + kind doll. Every step in the process is carefully considered: from the unique, detailed designs to perfecting the on-trend colour selection and choosing the finest, natural cotton yarns. Every beautifully crafted cuddle + kind doll is knit with such a high level of quality and care, they’re suitable to be heirlooms handed down from one lucky baby to the next.
We are proud to support over 750 artisans with sustainable, equitable, fair trade employment. We ensure that rural working mothers have access to flexible hours and are paid fairly for their work. This allows our knitters to care for their families, plan for their futures and for many, it brings meaningful change to their lives.
For every doll purchased, 5 meals are provided to children in need around the world through our respected giving partners. Your purchase gives children an opportunity to reach their potential and provides hope for a better future.
