Storytime+PLAY at The Meet Up with Special Guest Sky Bellefleur from the Victoria Native Friendship Centre
We are very pleased to announce a special Storytime+PLAY at The Meet Up at Momease, happening Friday Sept 29th, 2023 from 1-3 PM.
In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we will be welcoming Special Guest Sky Bellefleur from the Victoria Native Friendship Centre for an afternoon of stories and puppetry. The storytelling will be age-appropriate for little ones from 2-5 years, and will focus on amplifying Indigenous voices and stories.
Sky works at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre with the Health Team, the Bruce Parisian Library, the Career, Employment and Education Department, and also with the Elders Programs and the Indigenous Language and Culture Team. Sky enjoys reading stories for the Bruce Parisian Library in their Storytime Corner, and is featured on their Facebook page. Sky has lived in Canada for more than 40 years, and has lived on Vancouver Island for 5 years. She is honoured to be able to live, work and play on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen peoples.
Momease will be donating 100% of the profits from this event to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, so please consider visiting us and sharing in this very special Storytime+PLAY at The Meet Up! Click here to register now for September 29th.
