Jellycat Bartholomew Bear Junior loves to dress up and dance! There’s a large dressing up box in his room full of outfits and costumes, made by his artist cousin Leola Bear. His father is a professional musician, which is where Bartholomew gets his love of music and performing.
Bartholomew Bear Junior can be a little on the shy side at first. Please be kind and speak gently. Do encourage him to brush his fur and teeth regularly and continue to work on his reading.
(And, no, he is not allowed too much ‘screen time’!).
Looking for Jellycat Leola Bear? You’ll likely find her in her South London studio - surrounded by paintings, sculptures and fashion designs. When she’s not there, she’s off traveling; looking for inspiration – and the perfect shade of plum.
A talented, distracted artist (with a habit of reheating the same mug of tea three times), Leola always gets lost in the process. She can’t help it - when inspiration strikes, the hours just melt away… Fortunately, her cousin Bartholomew Bear is always on-hand with a tea top-up and (slightly squashed) plate of biscuits. He knows the drill!
He also happens to be her favourite muse. She’s made every one of his costumes, from the ruby fluff of his Heartthrob stage outfit to the Bat Bear cape that he wore for a Halloween party. Even his bold Sun costume was a Leola original, designed to give him confidence for an upcoming carnival debut.
One day her talent will be recognized. For now though, Leola’s happy making magical things for her friends and family.
Jellycat Amuseables Apple is currently backpacking across Canada. She’s now ticked off white-water rafting from her bucket list, and her leaf (worn angled, beret-style, ever since the French quarter of Toronto) still hasn’t dried.
She’s up for just about anything, especially if it involves a view! Her next location? New York. The skyline. The subway. The legendary cheesecake slice at the Jellycat Diner... Apple’s got dreams. Big dreams. And she’s already booked a diner table for two – fancy splitting a cheesecake slice?
Jellycat Bashful Cream Bunny is the serene heart of the Bunny family – and the world’s only certified lift music composer. As one of Bashful Bunny’s many, many relatives, she’s the go-to for calm advice and even calmer playlists.
Her latest collection is called Lift Me Gently: Vol. 3, a soothing blend of harps, synthesizers, and ambient choral ‘ahhhs’. You’ll hear it playing in every high-rise building with good acoustics. Her next goal: ambient restaurant music.
