Five Strollers, One Brand — Which UPPAbaby Is Made for Your Family?
Picking a premium stroller is one of the biggest gear decisions you'll make as a new parent. And when you start looking at the UPPAbaby lineup, it can feel like a lot to take in: five distinct models, each designed for a different kind of family life.
This guide covers the Vista V3, Cruz V3, Minu V3, Ridge V2, and the brand-new Kona (which launched in October 2026, and is available now at Momease!). Instead of just listing specs, we match each stroller to a real family profile. Think of it as advice from one parent to another, drawn from the hundreds of registry consultations we've done with Canadian families over the years. We're confident that you'll see yourself in one of these profiles.
Which UPPAbaby Stroller Is Right for Your Family? A Quick-Reference Guide
Vista V3: Best for growing families or anyone planning more than one child who wants one stroller to do it all.
Cruz V3: Best for single-child (or maybe we will eventually...) families who want a full-size everyday stroller with a narrower, more manageable frame, that's ready for use from birth.
Minu V3: Best for frequent travellers or as a second stroller for families who already own a full-size model or are looking to downsize once their kids are older.
Kona: Best for parents who want a mid-size daily driver that's ready from birth and lighter than a full-size stroller, but more capable than a travel stroller. Available now at Momease!
Ridge V2: Best for active, outdoorsy families who spend time walking or running on trails, in parks, and along uneven terrain.

The UPPAbaby Vista V3 — The Stroller That Grows With Your Family
The Vista V3 is UPPAbaby's most expandable stroller, and it's the only model in the entire lineup that can carry up to three children. That alone makes it a standout for families who know (or suspect) that baby number two or three might be on the horizon.
Here's how the expansion works. You start with the single Toddler Seat that's included in the box. When your family grows, you add the RumbleSeat V3 as a second seat. It supports children from 3 months to 40 lbs and can face forward or toward you. Need room for a third? The Vista PiggyBack ride-along board attaches for an older child to stand on. It's a modular system that adapts as your family does.
The 2025 V3 refresh brought meaningful updates to the Vista: magnetic buckles that make one-handed buckling realistic, and an all-weather seat with removable seat liner. These are the kinds of improvements you notice on a rainy Tuesday morning, not just on a spec sheet.
A lot of parents assume the Vista V3 is significantly heavier than the Cruz V3. It isn't. The Vista V3 weighs 27.6 lbs; the Cruz V3 comes in at 26.5 lbs. That's just about one pound. The real difference between these two is width and expandability, not weight. This is one of the most common misconceptions we correct during consultations.
Multi-child strollers are the fastest-growing seat-type segment in the market right now, with demand growing at roughly 8.4% annually. That tracks with what we see every day: families want one stroller that lasts for years, not one they'll have to replace. You can browse our full UPPAbaby collection to see Vista V3 travel system bundles paired with the Mesa V3, Aria V2, and the Bassinet V3, making it straightforward to build a complete newborn setup that will last your family for years to come.
Best for: Families planning more than one child, parents who want a single stroller to last years, or anyone who values a modular system that adapts as the family grows.
The UPPAbaby Cruz V3 — Newborn-Ready & Fully Loaded
The Cruz V3 is UPPAbaby's full-size everyday stroller for families who want a refined, narrower frame without the need for expansion using a secondary toddler seat. It shares the same 2025 updates as the Vista V3 (magnetic buckles, all-weather seat), but it's designed around a simpler, single-child purpose that's ready from birth.
The key distinction from the Vista V3 is the narrower profile and more compact fold. The Cruz V3 is not expandable to a double. That's the trade-off, and it's an intentional one: you get a sleeker frame that's easier to manoeuvre through tight store aisles, elevators, and crowded sidewalks. Keep in mind that even though you can't add an additional toddler seat to the Cruz V3, you do have the option to purchase a Piggyback toddler board made specifically to fit your Cruz V3 stroller. This is ideal for 2 multi-age kids that are a few years apart.
The Cruz V3 is newborn-ready right out of the box using its fully-flat built-in seat recline and included infant insert with integrated newborn foot cover. You don't need to buy the sold-separately bassinet to get started, though one is available for purchase if you prefer that option; alongside the overnight sleep compatibility that the UPPAbaby Bassinet V3 provides.
At 26.5 lbs, the Cruz V3 is only about a pound lighter than the Vista V3. If you're choosing the Cruz because you think it's the lighter option, reconsider. The real reason to choose it is the narrower width and the simpler single-seat design. That's a meaningful difference; the weight is not.
Best for: Confident one-and-done families (or those that may eventually have a second child that doesn't require a secondary seat!), urban parents navigating narrow spaces, or parents who want a full-size stroller without paying for expandability they may not use.
The UPPAbaby Minu V3 — Your Go-Everywhere Travel Companion
At just 16.7 lbs with a one-second, one-handed fold compact enough to fit in an overhead bin, the Minu V3 is UPPAbaby's most travel-focused stroller. It's built for a specific job, and it does that job exceptionally well.
Many families who already own a Vista V3 or Cruz V3 add the Minu V3 as a second stroller. It's the one you grab for flights, daycare drop-offs, quick grocery runs, and trips where hauling a full-size stroller just doesn't make sense. The two-stroller family approach has become increasingly common, and UPPAbaby's cross-compatible accessories make it practical.
The Minu V3 can function as a travel system from birth using sold-separately adapters compatible with the Aria or Mesa infant car seats (and additional car seat brands like Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Clek and CYBEX). Those adapters fold down with the stroller, keeping everything compact.
The lightweight stroller segment held 39% of market share in 2025, the highest of any product type. Over 62% of new stroller launches now focus on frames weighing below about 20 lbs. That tells you exactly where parent demand is heading, and the Minu V3 sits right at the centre of it.
Best for: Frequent travellers, families with a full-size primary stroller looking for a nimble second option, parents in compact apartments, or anyone who prioritizes portability above all else.
The UPPAbaby Kona — The Goldilocks Stroller That Just Arrived in Canada
The Kona is the newest member of the UPPAbaby family, unveiled at the 2026 ABC Kids Expo and recently arrived in Canada this October, 2026. Pre-orders opened on Momease.ca September 15, 2026, and we've already been fielding questions (and processing orders!) from families who've been waiting for exactly this kind of stroller.
It fills what we've been calling the "Goldilocks gap." The Minu V3 at 16.7 lbs is wonderfully portable but minimal for all-day use. The Cruz V3 at 26.5 lbs is a full-featured daily driver, but heavier than some parents want. The Kona, at approximately 22 lbs, gives you a genuinely in-between option that simply didn't exist before in the UPPAbaby lineup.
The feature set is impressive for a mid-size frame: a reversible parent- or forward-facing seat, a one-hand fold that works with the seat attached in either direction, a 30 lb storage basket, and a UPF 50+ extendable canopy. Folded dimensions come in at approximately 13.4" L × 21" W × 25.8" H, compact enough for most car trunks and entryways.
One detail that matters: the Kona connects to UPPAbaby infant car seats and bassinets with no adapters required. That's a meaningful convenience advantage, especially for parents who already own UPPAbaby gear.
Best for: Parents who find the Minu V3 too minimal for daily use, but the Cruz V3 too bulky for their lifestyle. Urban families, parents who walk a lot, or anyone who wants one versatile stroller that handles daily errands and travel with ease.
The UPPAbaby Ridge V2 — Built for Families Who Live Outdoors
If your weekends involve trail running, gravel paths, soggy dog walks, beach boardwalks, or park loops on uneven ground, the Ridge V2 is the UPPAbaby stroller designed for your life. Here in Victoria, BC, where ocean-side paths and forest trails are part of the daily routine, the Ridge V2 makes a lot of sense for a lot of families.
At 29.2 lbs, it's the heaviest stroller in the lineup, but that weight goes toward serious all-terrain and running capability. The Ridge V2 features a patented two-stage suspension system, never-flat 12" and 16" foam-filled wheels, a disc hand brake, and a swivel-locking front wheel. It also has the highest weight capacity in the UPPAbaby family at 55 lbs, supporting children from approximately 6 months to 5 years+.
The Ridge V2 isn't just for runners. It's for any family that regularly navigates terrain that would rattle a standard stroller. It's also compatible with the UPPAbaby Bassinet V3 and the Ridge-specific PiggyBack ride-along board, making it a viable option for families with a toddler or a newborn baby. And it connects to UPPAbaby infant car seats with sold-separately adapters, enabling travel system use from birth using a variety of infant car seats.
Best for: Active families who hike, run, jog or spend significant time on uneven terrain. Families in Victoria or other communities with abundant outdoor access. Parents who want a stroller that keeps up with an adventurous lifestyle.
Cross-Compatible Accessories — How UPPAbaby Works as an Ecosystem
One of the practical advantages of choosing UPPAbaby is how well accessories work across the lineup. The Mesa and Aria infant car seats, plus the UPPAbaby Bassinet, all attach directly to the Vista V3, Cruz V3, and the new Kona strollers with no adapters needed. They connect to the Minu V3 and Ridge V2 strollers with sold-separately adapters. This means your existing investment carries forward: if you already own a Mesa or Aria car seat, you can build a travel system on any stroller in the lineup. Even smaller details are covered: the UPPAbaby Cup Holder fits across Vista, Cruz, Kona and Minu models.
